Bienvenue.
Bonjour, tout le monde !
It’s testing season here in the Northern Hemisphere, which at least locally seems like a peculiar time to start a blog, website, and teaching arena primarily focused on the International Baccalaureate French B exam. Then I’m reminded — it’s the International Baccalaureate, which means our Southern Hemisphere friends are hard at work preparing for November, so maybe it’s exactly the right time.
That could be wonderful news for visitors from the other side of the globe; your dear tutor who is behind the writing of this post is very near to closing out the school year and is looking forward to spending a certain portion of the summer holidays establishing what she hopes will become a good resource for those seeking further study resources for the IB French B exam.
It’s not all about IB, though.
While a primary focus of the content here is on the tasks of the IB exam, general French learners should find the resources helpful as well. As the exam focuses on all four modes of communication (reading comprehension, writing production, listening comprehension, and speaking production), the exercises, activities, and examples are just as useful to the casual learner as the exam candidate. In particular, if you are a learner approaching intermediate level, this content should be just right to challenge you and help you move forward in your acquisition of the French language.
You have a home here.
So, whatever your purpose and however you landed here, welcome. Please don’t hesitate to interact, ask questions, request topics, or just send a friendly high. I’m so glad you’re here! :)
Bienvenue à l’aventure.
